It start with the groom families coming to know the families of the bride with a token or a gifts to the family. After the familiarity between the both parties, they set a date that they both agreed on(bride and groom families) for the introduction that only few members of the families from both side will attend. The groom tell his intention to the bride family about marrying their daughter. After the introduction, another date will be set for the traditional wedding proper. Well wishes and families are all invited to grace the occasion. Here, the families of the groom provide all the necessary items that are required. The requirements goes thus: six set of beautiful boxes, 20litres of red oil, 10litres of groundnut oil, 100 pieces of tubers of yams, big dry round fish, bags of salts,kolanuts for prayers, paying of bride price(the bride price is base on the bride family setting on how is to be pay). Then the couples are been introduced to people, prayers will be offered to the new couples. And after the rites, the groom families take their bride home and celebration continue.
